I think I have a solution. Right now I'm blocking everything that isn't loonyblog.net (or google.com). I think I should take the opposite approach and just ban myspace, facebook and blogspot (and add to the blacklist as need be). I'm not really sure how you could remedy it globally since I don't use google's reader (I use livejournal's rss syndication instead), but I'm sure many more people use many different rss readers.
